Using online Payment Processors (also know as Payment Gateways) is key to develop your online business. You’ll be able to send and receive payments from all over the world automatically. They are free to join and their benefit is a percentage or a fee on the transaction processed.
They use https (secure) and encrypt (SSL - Secure Socket Layer) the information to secure all your stored data, such credit card information, bank accounts, personal data… and any transaction between the merchant and the costumer.
