My brother in law bought a franchise using this company called RMC Franchise Connect. They did the research for him. He ended up buying a home based children services franchise. I thinking of buying one myself now.

Best advice in this video is ‘investigate before you invest’. This really is key since there can be restrictions not found in traditional self employment such as brand control and management fees you might have to pay on a monthly or annual basis. However, a franchise is based on a proven business model so in that respect can represent a great way to start up in business.
